Laurence Magner, president of the Cactus and Succulent Society of Massachusetts and a resident of Norfolk, showed us what makes a cactus or succulent winter hardy, how to construct a winter hardy garden, and advantages of such a garden. After the program he gave each of us a free cactus pad so we could try our hand at growing a winter hardy cacti.
