Unlike dollhouses, where objects are made to look like tiny versions of the real thing, fairy houses transform rocks and moss into makeshift furniture. Ashley Rooney and Barbara Purchia showed us fairy worlds in a variety of settings with natural and contemporary media, transforming the natural world into enchanting art that draws upon our childhood feelings and dreams. They inspired our own Liz Davey to create three fabulous fairy garden baskets, which were raffled off at the end of the program.
