An Apple a Day

Nancy Riggs talked about the apple tree’s lovely blossoms, its famous fruit, the history of apple production and the industry. Her presentation included an “apple tasting” with five in-season varieties fresh from the orchard. Nancy is a certified master gardener as well as a Tree Steward. She lives in a 1780’s farmhouse with two trees dating back 200 years. Her garden has been on numerous garden tours including the Tower Hill’s “City Spaces and Country Places,” The Master Gardener Garden Tour and Preservation Worcester’s “historic house and garden tour.”

This program was also broadcasted virtually for those who prefer not to attend in person.
