Glitter and Greenery Workshop

Members enjoyed an evening of crafting for (and with) the Club. Hands-on workshops demonstrated how to create items to be sold at the Artisan Fair and for Holiday baskets. There was time to make items and materials to send home for additional crafting on your own time.

Michele Drolette – Pinecone Angel Ornaments (for Greenery Baskets)
As in past years, to include a decoration in the Holiday Green’s Baskets being provided to the Norfolk Food Pantry, Michele demonstrated how to make a pinecone angel ornament.   We created 30 angels for the baskets and had supplies for additional angels that can be included in support of the upcoming Artisan Fair on Dec 2 at KPHS Middle School.

Emily Nicodemus & Stephanie Hamel – Artisan Fair
We asked all members to help work at the Artisan Fair on Dec 2 at KPHS Middle School or make a holiday item to sell. Your item could be a greens basket, decorated wreath, holiday centerpiece, handmade craft item or something you think will sell at the fair.  Stephanie and Emily demonstrated a simple holiday arrangement lit by fairy lights and had supplies, lights, and bows that you can check out to help with your creation.

Jill Kennedy & Linda Daly – Decorations
In support of the upcoming Artisan Fair, Linda demonstrated how to make a cute knit hat (which requires no knitting!) that can be used to make decorative garlands or as part of a Christmas ornament.  Jill  demonstrated how to make a couple of simple Christmas ornaments.  There were complete ornament kits available as well as extra pinecones that can be used for additional decorative creations.
